Ambergris Caye is located one half mile from the second largest barrier reef in the world. In addition, the island is home to mangrove lined swamps, about 400 acres of flats and a dozen lagoons. No wonder fishing is so good here. We’ll target tarpon, permit, bonefish and rum punch on this adventure. The trip is scheduled for 6 nights at the lodge and 5 days fishing; however, you can tailor your trip to fish as many days as you want. Anglers have the option of double occupancy rooms and skiffs or single accommodations. For travel, we’ll fly into Belize City, on or before April 25, and take an additional flight to the Caye. Included in the trip price will be the shuttle from Belize City to the lodge, three meals per day, local adult beverages, and guides. Not included is airfare to Belize City, guide gratuities and fishing license. Depending on where we fish, an additional park pass might be required. You should consider 8wt. (bonefish), 10wt. (permit), 12wt. (tarpon) gear with floating lines to tame this fish.
